I am living in Houston Texas USA. I have been looking into a move maybe. The information on welding, fabrication jobs has been hard to come across on the internet. I weld several process, design custom equipment with autocad and inventor. I do machinist work, Also industrial electrical and maintenance. I have looked at the government website and have seen that welding fabricators are on 3 of the 4 skill list. But I have also been reading many stories about people coming over and not finding work in their trades or problems with their certifications not being acceptable to get a job. I would probably be coming by myself to get a look and see how it goes at first, but I am looking to move permanently. Any information about the trades and how common the jobs are would be great. Also any information about the pay scales. I hope to be able to bring all of my tools with me also. I got a few grand of multi trade tool sets I would hate to have to replace. I am pretty open to any part of the country as a good job and pay would be my main concerns. Thanks in advance for any information.
