Secondary schooling?

If I qualify for the work to residency visa (or even just a normal temporary working visa) and my daughter comes with me (age 12) will I have to pay international tuition rates for her. Is there any way she can go to school free in NZ? I am a teacher in the USA where students new to the country don’t pay for schooling, so this concept is literally foreign to me.
