Official cost of living in Norway

Wages in Norway can superficially seem good but here http://www.sifo.no/page/Links/Meny_engelsk_hoyre/10418/10424 is a link to the official Norwegian typical household costs.

Unless you are independently very wealthy, I wouldn't advise coming to Norway. It's closer to Eastern Europe than many places, the Norwegians accuse the Poles and Swedes of "social dumping" and the fact is you will be competing with highly qualified people with three or four languages at their disposal who will probably be hungrier than you for a better life.

if the English, Germans and French etc. can't compete with Eastern Europeans in their own country, what chance do they have in a foreign country?

As I have said before, as soon as UDI got a chance to refuse renewing my residence permit, they took it. If you stay in your own country, no-one can change your status with the stroke of a pen.

I'm waiting to hear the result of a case where someone's residence permit renewal was refused partly because they left Norway when their flight to Oslo was diverted to Stockholm because of fog. It was enough for them not to be in Norway for more than three months at a time.

I'll keep you posted.

Think of all the hoops you don't have to jump through if you stay where you are!!!
