Hi!
I am currently completing my studies in the UK to be an Architect.
Does any one know what the Architectural Process is in Norway?
For example
- How the architect defines their role, (e.g. appointment, liabilities, responsibilities)
- Procurement method used
- When in the project is the architect appointed? What other parties in the project are they linked to?
- What powers does the architect have? Are any unfamiliar (to UK eyes) services provided?
- What reassurances are given to the client - for example guaranteeing project cost, programme, or insurance cover for defects?
- How does the architect practice? In a one-off, for-this-project-only, grouping of architects or in an ongoing practice with a legal entity that continues long after the project?
- What are the effects of differences in the availability of materials, craftsmanship and contracting organisations?
- what aspects of this mode of operating
- could be imported to the UK and what would the repercussions be on practice here? How could British architects benefit if they operated in this way?
Any information will be greatly appreciated!
Tina
