armed robbery in Playa Blanca

Sadly in the early hours of the morning today a couple living in the new Napa development in Playa Blanca, which are all small single story homes were both robbed and beaten. The robberies apparently ,five in number, got to the fence around the property on horse back. The sixth accomplice held the horses at the fence while five men broke into the couples bedroom window. The man attempted to fight them off but when the robberies produced a gun he relented and was tied up along with his wife and badly beaten. These robbers were in their house for over an hour and a half. They took anything of value including their passports and credit cards and all their keys including their vehicle keys all the while the "guard" in this area of the development slept soundly until the couple eventually freed themselves and began screaming for help. The robberies wore gloves and wiped down everything they touched. They were all armed either with knives or a gun.
These poor unfortunate people are of course traumatized and a private investigator is now on the scene reviewing the site for evidence but these thieves knew what they were doing as this house is one of the last houses in this new development by Swartz and one of the few full time residences. No these home have no bars on the windows. This is the second major robbery in Playa Blanca in the last few months.NHN are as well offering assistance to this couple. This is a gated community but can be accessed by the service road and from the beach and adjacent property. In the midde of the night you are on your own so be prepared, take steps to ensure you are protected so they cant gain easy access into your home.Get a big dog .
Be careful who you let into your home to see all you own
