Hi, anyone encounter this problem in Panama and have a solution?:
1. Previous WellsFargo debit card worked fine at multiple ATMS all throughout Panama.
2. New expiration date WellsFargo debit card (same number on card, but new exp. date) doesn't work at all the same ATMs throughout Panama.
3. Takes me through the entire transaction, then after selecting amount of money to withdraw from ATM, confirm to pay fee, etc., message appears on screen: "Unable to process your transaction at this time. Please try again later."
4. Tried over a dozen ATMS at various Panama banks, all the same problem.
5. WellsFargo claims they don't even see an attempt go through when I try to use the ATM machine, so they say they can't help me.
6. Odd thing is one of the WF customer service reps told me that one attempt did show up according to the ATM specialist she talked to while putting me on hold. Then, other reps tell me no attempts show up. Not sure who to believe.
7. Able to transfer money from WF acct. to Panama bank just fine...incurring WF $45 fee, plus the commission fee of Panama bank.
8. W.Fargo tells me they have no solution to the problem.
9. My other U.S. bank debt cards work fine in ATMs, but W.Fargo debit card does not, still, after two months of trying and two new cards to verify the cards weren't damaged.
10. The Wells Fargo card works just fine at Panama retail stores, but not at ATMS. Problem has been going on for two months, ever since my old Wells Fargo card expired.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?
Thanks in advance for your input.
