introduction

Dear forum, hello to all and nice to meet you.Thank you for reading my profile and the effort to reply or give advice.

I'm 63, Belgian born and most of the past 34 years I have been living in Asia, Africa as well as 5 years in South and Central America. (  the Americas is over 15 years ago ).

Adventure more than work, emotional richness rather than being materialistic.

I consider applying for the Jubilado visa in Panama next year.

I mostly lived in local neighbourhoods, sometimes a mix of expats and locals, rarely in gated communities ( only in Jo Burg ).
Average rent I have paid the last years is about 300  $ for a small flat which was clean and safe .
Is that possible in Panama ?

Can I get through the whole process by myself without abogado?

To live I prefer a quiet safe place  with a  swimming pool ( at least 30 yards long - no resistance pool ) if possible within 15 miles from home and roads that can be cycled should be great.
I like the mountains but prefer the sea.
I'm mad at sports but not interested in the nightlife.

Is it true that once you get the jubilado visa you can leave the country for 2 years without loosing it, don't you need to keep an adress in the meantime and what's the benefit for Panama if I travel outside the country and take my monthly pension with me ?

My health is ok, but any experiences in using the public hospitals ?
I've spend  lots of time in Costa Rica and Honduras.
Thank you for reading, take care
