Manila Sub-urbs property, advice please!

I recently inherited property outside of Manila, and am determining what I want to do with it. The only details I have at this time are its 3/4 an acre of land on top of a hill overlooking the highway outside of Manila. Sorry for the lack of details.

I am not planning on selling, but I am strongly considering renting. As of now the property is just a plot of land overtaken by squaters. I am unsure of renting apartments since I will be living in the United States, and I have no trustworthy relatives to count on in Manila. My fathers previous rental property was managed by distant cousins that essentially bogarted the profits. I worry that if I were to build rental apartments that overseers would falsely claim landlord expenses and I would have no way to verify.

I am not familiar with the Manila culture and want to have a secure investment, that is not manipulated by others in any way. As of now I am leaning on renting the property to a reliable franchise or business, that I can trust completely. I am not sure this is practical though.

Are there trustworthy agencies that oversee rental units and provide accountable information in Manila?

What are other potentially profitable ideas for this property???

What would you do with the property if you lived in the USA?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer! :-)
