My father recently passed away. He was divorces from my mother and remarried a filipina about 8 years ago. Together with her, he moved to cagayan de oro and built a home. He started various businesses, but I am not sure if any of them are still up and running.
About 3-4 years after they married, they returned to Texas to get her citizenship. She left him about a week after recieving her papers.
My family spent the last five years listening to my father's hatred and frustration towards her. She moved her entire family into the home in the philipines and as I understand it, there was nothing my dad could do because there is no divorce there and he was acting as her sponser in the US. She is still in the US, and kept tabs on him but "avoided" divorce by saying she would return, but then would not.
My father insisted that he had learned that she had been previously married and has children in the philippines. They did not have any children together. Now that he is gone, after two years of illness, she has resurfaced to "collect". Is there anything that can be done? I don't even know where to start....
Thanks in advance
