A Plea for some assistance

I am an ex-pat living in Panama for the last couple of years. I have been corresponding (via email) with an ex-pat friend of mine who has been living in Olongapo, PI since the early '70s. He's retired USN, married a local girl, and has both children and grandchildren in the the 'Big O'.

He's 74 years old and has been ambulatory for about ten years now. After five years of constant email communications, all of a sudden the emails have stopped. I fear that he has passed-away and 'moved on', but cannot find any further info on him. Can anyone in the Olongapo area help me find out what happened to him and, perhaps aid me in contacting his family?

His name is John Brand and I believe his wife's name is Joan.

Any advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Big Daddy Jim
