Dengue in Bohol

I'm sure this topic has been brought up before, thanks in advance for your help.

Do I need to worry about Dengue if I visit Panglao or Dauis on Bohol? There are no mosquitos where I live, but when I go camping in the summer near lakes and water, I get bit about 20 times more than my friends.

Anything I can do to prevent besides long shirts, pants, and Deet? If that's the case, I'm thinking, why even go there?
