On August 2nd 2015 my Filipina wife an I arrived in cebu alone wiht my Filipina sister in law and her husband. iVe been into Cebu numerous times without incident...
HOwever, this time I was stopped and told I could NOT enter the country since i was on an "exclusion list"????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I have a sex crime on my record its 10 years old and all my rights have been restored...
I had never heard of such a list... I was NOT blacklisted!!!
a whote lot of research and I have found that now with each airline manifest before that plane arrives they send informtion that the USA has provided on each passenger who is going to end their trip in the respective country..
LOng story shortened... My Filipino brother n law is a lawyer and was able to find information that is located on BI's website in the News Release section around JUne to august of 2015.
This news release speaks in detail of how certain people can circumvent this exclusion list...
a. if u are married to a filipino citizen b. an affinity to a Filipino citizen c. meritorous deeds???
My brother law was able to get me in the country after i spent 30 hours in an Exclusion room in BI cebu mactan airport...
I have just got back to the states and have been in the ear of every lawyer i can find who deals wiht immigration issues and called everyone from our embassy to the washington embassy of the Philippines...
NOONE!!!!!!!! NOT one person has ever heard of ORRRRR will acknowledge that this list exists...
BUT I know IT does!!!! Does it include only sex offenders??? or how far does this new list reach???
Im not a lawyer but, I do know thiis.... its and ex pacto rule set in affect to further punish sex offender and or felons of any crime....
Does anyone have any experience with this new list.. or any meaningful information..
