The recent announcement by Duterte about his 2 wives and 2 girlfriends, getting pretty pnay's to pose sitting on his lap for photo ops's., poses the question about the flexibility of the moral standards of married women and men. It goes on everywhere in the world in a kind of don't ask, don't tell fashion. However I have noticed married pinoy's having borang's or suki's and married pinay's having their studs is much more open and accepted here. If you marry a borang then you got to relocate and start their reputation out fresh. But for pinoy's, it doesn't seem to matter if their wife or neighbor knows, at least in my neighborhood (gossip-gossip). So the man's reputation in not impugned in the same way. I would never cheat on my pnay wife because it would wound her emotionally, end our happy marriage, and create misery for me and my conscience. But I think we are the exception. When another Canadian friend of mine returns to visit his wife, he first visits all his previous GF's & favorite massage parlors and then excuses his adultery by telling his wife she is numero uno. This is a contradictory role nonetheless. Even though I experience temptation at times (it's hard not to), I will not allow myself to cheat and play a contradictory role in my marriage. Would I let my wife cheat on me. Absolutely not. How accepting are married couples of adultery?
