teleworking 3.0

Teleworking 3.0.
It is not easy to make a living in the Philippines if you don’t have a very special job. If you are a powerplant engineer, rocket scientist or have some other special job where there is not an abundance off over here than you get a working permit. If you are a waiter, factory worker or have another simple job back home then you can pretty much forget it getting a legal job over here. Of course there are foreigners that like to help other foreigners and pay you off the books. But I would not suggest that to anybody coming over here.
So before you come over here, find a teleworking 3.0 job in the US or in Europe. And with teleworking 3.0 I mean that you do the work physically in the Philippines for a company based in the US or Europe. With a good internet connection and skype (or a similar service) that can be a multiple kind of jobs. I am a cold caller for 3 different company’s. I mainly sell advertisements and stands on fairs. I was working for these company’s before I came to the Philippines. And I was blessed that they did not make a lot of problems of me getting over here.
The good thing for them and me is that I have a tax excempt status. I am not allowed(!) to pay taxes in Europe cause I do the work physically over here. And over here since I have no staff(at least not on the payroll) I am seen as a sari sari store and are also not taxable. It took me weeks to find this out but after talking to one of the head honcho’s of the local IRS I was assured I was not taxable.
Having a meeting is now so easy with Skype. I have seen It evolve over the years. One of my bosses always wanted to have a couple of face to face moments a year and thanks to Skype and the internet that is becoming better and better over here it is easy to have those face to face moments.
DO you have teleworkers 4.0? Yes you do, they call themselves digital nomads. They travel around the globe with a laptop and work where there is internet. I have done this a bit within the Philippines but not on the level as these guys (mostly guys) are doing it. One week they are in Asia and the next week they are in South America.
