Bohol

I'm heading out to Bohol next month for a flying visit. Less than one week. Can anyone recommend a decent place to stay with some nightlife and easy access to the main tourist sites? I'll be there with my partner and contemplating hiring a motorbike to get around or is it just as cheap to use local transport? I'd like something pretty Western standard. I had looked at some of the resort hotels but hate the idea of getting ripped off for a filipinos monthly wage just for one night. Thanks in advance.
