Traveling in two months what area is safe and not to expensive?

Traveling with a friend in two month's. What areas are safe? I am an amputee my friend is big guy so not to worried just want to be safe. What places should we aviod? We plan on saying in Philippines 29 days than fly to some where close for a couple days or weeks. Than return to Philippines. Any advise?
