Baguio Area

I'm an American moving to Ph. in mid-September. I have a Pinay GF who is from Rosario. We have been intent on the Tagaytay area but everyone warns about the expense. So I have been looking at the Baguio "area." Baguio is a little too big for what I'm looking for so I wonder if anyone has any input on bordering towns that are smaller with good proximity?? Also if knowledgeable ballpark on a long term 2-BR furnished rental. Grateful for your time and input.
