Quick decision to move

Hello everyone. My name is Glen. I am single, 31, and male looking to move to ASEAN. I have heard so many good things about the Philippines and have friends that have lived there and wrong shut up about it.

I have a job that mg my boss says I can work from anywhere as long as I keep US hours as my work is client based.

I have heard/read about a few different places and would like some opinions.

Makati, Cebu, Baguio, and Merakina. Is there a resounding positive or negative to any of these places?

I don't speak any of the languages in the Philippines, so is English spoken by many/most?
