I know probably a high percentage of members here met at least one of their current or past partners on a singles website. My guess would be 75%-85%. It is possible to meet someone on these sites an it works out to be a good relationship. I just want to give one scenario that I've seen happen many times. I lived in Angeles City for 10 years and drove to Manila to work 5 days a week. The girl meets a guy on a website. She communicates with him frequently through webcam (many times daily, sometimes several times a week). She does this with 3-10 different guys. Eventually they send her money every month. Sometimes $50, I've even heard of up to $500 a month. The guy comes to the Philippines to visit her once or twice a year. This could go on for 1 year or several years. Several different guys visit her in the course of a year. All she has to do is to make sure she arranges her schedule properly. When push comes to shove she breaks up with one or several of the guys. This really goes on. If you started communicating with several girls initially, don't you think most of the women are doing the same, maybe 10 fold? What makes your more special than all the other guys emailing her? I just want everyone to be aware of some of the scams that occur. It ends up resulting in embarrassment (to friends and family), broken hearts and loss of a lot of money. keep your heart secure an eyes open. Beware!!!
