Taxes

Hello, I have the opportunity to work in the Philippines next year. I have looked into taxes and found that I will have to pay the Philippines for the money I make there. I can then deduct that from my U.S taxes, is my understanding. That is pretty straightforward. My question is that my wife is a duel U.S/Philippines citizen. Will we have to pay extra taxes?
Thank you!
