ssdi ajl hearings help

so i have been denied ssdi but im a 100% disabled usa veteran p and t. im told based on age under 55 its common that i will be denied and need to have a hearing. my question is are hearings done in manila or via satelight video? i dont want to go back to the states for a hearing and im not even from maryland where my paperworks are being sent. any advice? im not interested in an attorney ive done almost all my va claims myself and i read and get the medical info i need. but i dont know how the hearing works here or how long it takes to get one. the ssdi in manila seems not return calls or emails.
