Was just reading another thread and came across this comment:
"Philippines: My Philippine 13A Permanent Resident Visa Experience:
good evening just read your post, my friend applied for the 13 A and it took 2 weeks but for me it took 3 months i think it depends on the Attorney"
My question is, "Why would a person use an attorney for anything but the notary requirements?" You can do the entire thing in about 3 hours all by yourself in BI Intramuros. Then they set an appointment with a BI attorney for an interview that you must attend with your wife. That is a matter of scheduling and no doubt depends on how many applicants they have at any given time. A person is being foolish if he pays an attorney. I looked up the checklist on the BI website and prepared my own documents and was in & out of BI in under 3 hours. Note I was ALONE, no wife, no attorney, no fixer, no translator, no helper of any kind.
