I might temporarily relocate to DC, and am seeking advice about different locations within the city where I ought to consider living in order to address concerns about limiting my exposure to the pollution there--specifically, the particulate/air pollution from automobiles, trash burning and industry.
I’d stayed in DC off and on during the 1990s, but the city was much less populated and developed, so pollution issues were relatively minor.
I paid the price for ignoring the change in air quality when I visited this past November and ultimately spent the last week+ of my time there indoors, having developed sinusitis and a persistent cough which even lasted for a couple weeks after I returned to the states.
I believe that by minimizing my walking around the downtown area (which I had done way too much) and choosing a location where the polluted air does not accumulate, I could live comfortably in DC… all for the sake of Love, of course.
Any advice from those who live or have recently lived in DC would be appreciated--thank you!
