Car Rental in Davao

Hello all,
Me and my wife (Filipina citizen) are going to be going to the Philippines in April and arrive in Davao. We want to rent a car to go to her home town near Tagum for about 2 weeks to build her mom a new house. I want to rent a car. What is the cheapest way to rent a car here? I looked online and saw car rentals in Davao go for about $65 a day!! wow!. I don't need a fancy new car, just a good rental to get me there and around. Any suggestions? Salamat.
