Finding housing that’s not overpriced

I’m preparing to move my family to the Philippines (likely QC area) and am struggling to find the best way to locate housing that isn’t overpriced. Anything I find seems much more expensive than what people often say they’re spending.

What’s the best way to rent a 3+ bedroom place where I don’t get completely ripped off for being a foreigner?
