Would you recommend or encourage a good friend or family member to live here?
I personally would not, not unless they were very aware, not naive at all. Strong in mind.
I have seen way too many foreigners come a cropper here, with unscrupulous greedy women, to being totally set up imprisoned and deported, on totally trumped up charges. Men being accused of beating the wife and kids, rape, all false accusations, but here you are arrested, thrown in jail without any statement from you, await trial which can be months and months. Only to have the case dismissed or a guilty charge. Imprisonment and then deportation.
Women here are a minefield, seen to much now. So I would not recommend this place to everyone. It can be very unforgiving here.
