Good things about the Philippines

I have only been to the Philippines one time last year and fell in love with the place. My wife of 20 years was born in Ilocos area and moved away at 12 to the US. She took me there to show me why I would not want to live there and the complete opposite happened. I know allot of the negative things about PI from reading and first hand experience but interested more in the positive aspects.
