My new home

Hey guys and gals, I have been around on the forum and reading and even posting several times, but the thing that amazes me is the negative vibes.

So much of what is posted has nothing to do with the Philippines or living abroad, or is that a broad? Sorry Canuck humor. I have been in South America for the last 12 years and trust me if a place is not safe, it is here at this time with all the people sliding across the border from Venezuela.

That and the peace process that is failing big time, the ELN with the car bomb in Bogota city, just blocks away from where I live, that killed 24 young Police officers and injured 80 plus others.

I have chosen the Philippines as my new home first because I met the love of my life almost 4 years ago and it has taken me this long to get back in the groove, 30 plus years single. I had to change a lot of things in the old mind----- Next is because during my research I have met some of the nicest, kindest and loving Filipino people.

I am not nieve enough to think that when I get there everything will be all roses, but I have made a choice and unless the dam breaks it is where I intend to hang my hat, through the good and the bad.

I am used to the crazy traffic, 7 people on a motorbike, with the mother nursing a baby on the go. Bus drivers that think that they are driving in the LeMans and pedestrians are not safe from anything. I have been attacked, stabbed, shot at and more, so from what I have been through here, the Philippines is a cake walk.

The grass for me is greenest on the southern tip of Cebu. I hope to meet a few of you once I get there.
