Philippines Visa Run

I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times and is likely searchable on this forum. However, I'm on a bit of a time crunch and was wondering if you have to actually be outside of the country for a full 24 hours prior to a return. Too low on funds for a proper vacation and I have the opportunity to snag a ticket that will have me on a retun flight within 6 hours of landing in my outside destination. The return time would be around 1am the following day. Is this acceptable or not?
