Tourist visa scrutinization

The other day on my return from my annual visit to the US I was hit on by the immigration agent for continually utilizing a tourist visa for the last 5 or 6 yrs where I stay here for 10 months and visit the US for 2. He was pushing that in actuality I really was not a tourist at this point. I ran into the same agent last yr with the same scrutinization. This time he stated that if an agent wanted to they could basically deny my entry or kick me out. Though I consider myself an asset to this country by what I add to the economy, I saw his point but know people here who just keep reupping their visa with no problem. Anyways he was pushing the permanent thing with marriage or investment based to accommodate. Are others running into this ? The guy seemed very professional and serious. He let me in but for sure it was a warning. Still think the visa fees plus the additions we provide to the economy that they maybe cutting their nose off
