Having a private vehicle

Hello everyone, I am Michelle, I am planning to come to the Philippines in the next year. I am in the process of preparation.
But, I have much more than one concern about buy a car for commuting. Although I have not decided the place to settle down yet, I still want to have a car list that I can, you know, estimate the money.
Can you give me more advice on this issue? I know people in the Philippines have owned many cars, and they also sell used cars for others. Then, buying an old car compared to the new car, which is better?
