Sewage

Having recently inquired about water, I wonder what the sewage systems are like in the RP? My time there has been in hotels, large and small so no issuesl flush and go were the rules. One companion of mine said that her family used buckets of (undrinkable) water to flush down CR waste into whatever system carried it further. She lived in Manila proper too.

What's it like in the rest of the country?
