I wanted to tell you about my time here in the philippines and how very very up setting it was. I was al excited at first to be here and hoping to see several parts of the county while still visiting my wife family through out the trip.
I book a hotel in Makati in the city that seem to suit ameraicans towards food and the resturant along with it was close to center of town and quite a few place with in walking distrance of the hotel. First we had some troubl eat the airport to begin with once we got our bags. I was told to simple take the yellow taxes and that would be the best way and know that it was being fair. We ended up going to a different place and having to pay a few other fee's along the way then another fee for the ride there. So right out of the gate we spent more then what was even plan to begin with. We final made it to the hotel and settle in when that evening I found out that my philippine wife had been talking with her family and they already plan on having a driver meet us at the hotel the next morning to take us to tarlac and we had to check out early from the hotel. So I did not even get to see any place in Makati or even cavitynothing at all because the only thing that my wife on her mind was to go and see her kids and nothing about what we had plan. So after loosing the money on that we made it here to tarlac and boy was I not prepare for what we came to compare to western living in a clean and nice home. Lets just say at this point I would not even consider coming back here for every and even if it ment for the wife to come back here alone. then no body told me but be aware that if you are from America there is a very good chance that you will break out in a very bad red rash that will drive you crash and case some very big problems for you. I have been lock up for the last several days with no place to go and my philippine wife only thinking about paying for everything that the family ask for paying for drivers that I think could have been bargin much better and al all ready gone through all the money that we had put aside for coming here plus gone to the atm several times and put money on here credit card as well. Even as I am doing this she is not cern about me but all she carry about is the family and nothing else at all.
Let me say for all of you that are thinking of coming here think very carefully on what you doing and if you have a philippine wife with family here be even more on what you are going to do. I am not a very happy person right now and all I want is to have a good american meal and a hot show that comes out of the shower and not a bucket and a proper conditions that we as westerns are very much use to in our lives
