Transferring money

Hi

I will be retiring to the Philippines in the near future. My wife is a Filipina (citizen) and has a bank account. I also have a HSBC account. I want to transfer our savings there when we move.
I have already looked at different money transfer companies.

I am curious if there is a limit a bank will accept in the Philippines.
Will a large transfer be reported?
Do I need to contact anyone before making a large transfer? If so who?
