Departure for Tourism purposes

My gf was offload trying to exit the country as a to tourist. She had all necessary requirements to enter Thailand we were going to meet in hongkong and fly into Bangkok together so we could do the mandatory quarantine together (was a stressful week to make it happen) Anyways she was offload because I am just a boyfriend and my financial means don’t mean anything to them. My questions is if she was my WIFE what documents would she have had present if I am the one paying for the trip. Is a simple marriage certificate enough or would she still need affidavit of sponser.
