YouTube Expat Channels vs Expat Forums

Before retiring in the Phiippines, I've watched some YouTube Expat Channels and joined a couple of Expat Forum sites, like this one. I found that most of these YouTubers showed the PH with rose colored glasses, but there were quite a few who gave out valuable info on the culture, their way of life and even the Filipina=foreigner relationship. Add to that, you could actually see the sight and sound of the Philippines. Indeed there are a variety of YT Expat Channels out there, some giving out bad information, while a few giving out vauable information. And it all depends on which island they are living. Some live in big cities (Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao), while others live in remote places (up in the mountains or jungles).
