I’m a light sleeper, I have tinnitus and hypertension. My livelihood is heavily reliant on a quiet space since I produce videos and do occasional voice acting and I’m a generally very auditory person. I rely on silence as a blank canvas to be able to think freely and to enjoy my personal time off as well, with that said, I am not extremely picky. I can handle ambient noise like traffic or appliances being turned on. I like to hear nature. There’s a realm of acceptability when it comes to noises that are tolerable which I’m pretty sure a lot of you know exactly what I mean.
Apparently looking for a condo with good enough noise isolation in this country can be tricky to say the least because. I signed a lease at One Eastwood Avenue and my neighbors like to scream out of nowhere or exclaim really loudly even at nighttime. I cannot change them and I don’t hold that against them but this is where a really good building with noise isolation can come into play.
Two days ago I got woken up and my heart was beating so fast, I ended up crapping myself and I’m sorry for the language but I’m just being extremely candid at this point since this entire ordeal has been frustrating. The stove even stopped working after making a huge popping noise but that’s a story for another day.
Realtors will say anything to get a sale no matter what and I’m just sick of it frankly and of course it’s not exclusive to this country but the prospect of having to move repeatedly to different buildings and losing huge sums of money due to the security deposit usually being non-refundable from a pre-terminated lease no matter what is just too much to handle.
I’m here to just ask if any of you can recommend residential buildings around Metro Manila or to just point me to a realtor who cares even remotely about their client’s wellbeing and not just closing a deal. I had plans of including a noise clause in future contracts as a solution but I feel like someone from here can just give me tips or useful sources for this situation in general. Thank you for reading.
