Tourist Visa

Hi!
Planning to visit the Philippines in 2024 as a tourist. Planning to stay for 12 months. I've studied the Visa procedures. I'm Australian so the first 30 days are Visa free. Then go to immigration and extend for another 29 days (Visa waiver). Thereafter you can apply for a 1 or 2 or 6 month Tourist Visa and keep visiting immigration a week before it expires to extend. I intend to stay in the Philippines throughout. I don't intend to return to Australia at any time.
I was reading about this (see below) on another site but I don't understand what it means. Any explanation is appreciated. Thanks, Chris

How long is a Philippines Visa valid?
Philippines visas can be issued for a period starting from three months to one year, for single or multiple entries.

However, it should be noted that despite being valid for longer, a Philippines visa only allows the holder to stay in the Philippines for 59 days per entry. This means that even if you have a Philippines visa with a validity of one year, you will have to leave and re-enter the country every 59 days.
