Philippine mail

FYI: I would like to inform everyone about the Philippine mail system. I had some important documents to mail to the RCBC bank there in Cebu which had to be there by Aug. 1st so as not to have the builder of my house foreclose on it. Well I am in southern Oregon and mailed these documents out on Aug. 12 thinking they would get there in time. Boy was I wrong! I sent them in an Express International Flat Rate Priority Envelope to get there in "three to five days guaranteed" at a cost of $70.95. Well I sent them on their way on Aug. 12th. From there they went to San Francisco then on to Carson Ca. leaving there on Aug 16th arriving in Manila on Aug 22. Then on to Cebu on arriving on Sept. 5. Finally delivered on Sept. 7th. TWENTY SIX DAYS for priority international express and only twenty one days later. I guess the post office there is on island time and not in a big hurry. Next time I will be using FedEx. Oh, btw the loan went through and the house was alright
