One More Week to Iloilo

Well, for any of you following my move from Boston to Iloilo Province, here's the update.

My wife has been at the farm since early November. Our dog (a schnoodle) accompanied her (in cargo). Our Nissan Navara was picked up at Nissan Iloilo the day after my wife arrived.

My last day of work is Friday in the US (12/16) and I'm wheels up from Boston to LA on Monday. I'll stay overnight in LA and fly out to Manila on Tuesday. I'll stay overnight in Manila and arrive at Iloilo International Airport on Thursday morning (Ph. Time), just in time for Christmas.

Once again, I want to thank folks on this blog for being so helpful with the advice on the transportation of my dog and the purchase of my car. Both want much more smoothly than I anticipated.

Now, I have to apply for a 13a visa, enroll in PhilHealth, get a driver's license and settle into my new life.

I'll be blogging more helpful information for others as I navigate through the Philippine bureaucracy and acclimate to a new culture.
