Health

I am a type 1 diabetic and this is my main concern living there but several people have told me to not worry as this field is well covered in the PI and finding a Doc and getting meds will not be an issue. I am a Veteran, like to know how to use the VA system there BUT I do not plan on using it much, one being in Dumaguete where there isn't a location and two I HATE IT - its F******** shame!!!, one of the reasons I am moving there, better health care. LOL

I already have a home there so finding a place isn't an issue. I have my SRRV visa and will be setting up a bank account there. Which bank is best for expats? Will be keeping a US address (family) and 2 banks here, USAA and Chase. I will wait to get there to set up a local phone as my AT&T system will do me ok for a few weeks.

I do plan on shipping over 1 or both of my vehicles and understand the VAX TAX and shipping costs but if anyone has done it I would like to hear from you about the process. I do not plan on bringing anything from home other than some clothes and a few other personal items.

Another issue I have is I LOVE my Copenhagen Longcut snuff and from what I have read it is not sold there or every hard to find, so I will be needing to ship in approx 35 cans a month.
