Does anyone have any advice on the best way to get to Boracay (Station 2 Beach front) from other parts of the Philippines?
I assume it's something like:
1) Fly into Ramos/Caticlan Airport (MPH).
2) Take a taxi to Caticlan Jetty Port
3) Take a boat Cagban Jetty Port
4) Take a taxi to a Beachfront Hotel
Boracay is on my bucket list.
I don't really know much about the areas between Station 1-3. I realize that many folks consider the area to be expensive and over-developed.
I'm looking for a nice beachfront hotel, and I'm willing to pay up to 6-9k (php) per night or a total of about 150-200k for 18-20 days. I'm happy to go cheaper, but I'm not afraid to splurge a little.
With some simple searches, the Henann resorts caught my eye. I've tried to reach out to some of the local tour companies, but none return my calls, emails. or Facebook chat requests.
My goal is to walk up/down the 5-8km of beach fronts, eat at restaurants, listen to music, and people watch for about 2-3 weeks with my wife.
I may also have some of our extended family fly join us from Davao City for a week of our stay.
Any thoughts or advice?
