Education

My 11 year old daughter should be starting Year 7 in UK in September, if we hadn't relocated to Philippines. Education in public schools seems to be a year or two behind UK so private schools the only sensible option, but too expensive for my budget. She was sent for Accelerator Programme test in Manila as she is recognised in Philippines as gifted (she's not - she's just UK educated). She ought to be in Year 8/9 in Philippines, based on knowledge and ability, but she has fallen down on exam scores because she speaks no Tagalog - and that is part of the scoring system.

I am really struggling to find an affordable solution, and returning to UK or trying Australia now being talked about. International Schools are Manila based mostly which is too far from the family in the North of Philippines. I'm spinning like the proverbial top. Any ideas would be really appreciated. Steve
