Spending 2 1/2 weeks in Portugal in June 2016

We will be in Portugal June 5 to June 23 (4 nights in Tavira, 6 nights in Lagos, 2 nights in Evora and 5 nights in Lisbon). This will be our first trip to Portugal, and we hope (realizing this isn’t really possible) to experience it more like a local than a tourist, since we may want to consider it as a retirement destination. If anyone has recommendations for attorneys or real estate professionals in the Algarve, referrals would be appreciated, as we may try to set aside a day in Tavira and another in Lagos to look at properties and/or discuss immigration/residency issues. We would welcome the opportunity to meet with English speaking expats while we are in Portugal. I will probably check on Internations activities in Lisbon/Cascais, but I don’t see that there is a group in the Algarve. If anyone could recommend activities we might participate in while in Portugal (social, religious, charitable, or otherwise), we would welcome your recommendations.
