Got my Renewal for 2 years. Good News!

Just wanted to share that Friday 18th I had my interview with SEF for my 2 year renewal.

I'm happy to say it was the fastest and easiest thing to do.

I had an appointment at SEF located at Loja do Cidadão de Agualva-Caçem located at Praceta Duque de Saldanha 17.

They have a very small SEF Office with 3 very helpful and nice employees.

The process was as follows: I had my appointment at 11:00am. I got there and at 11:00am sharp they called my name. I sat down and they only asked for 3 things (my Portuguese bank statement that I have 7200euros showing 12 minimum salaries) Atestado de Residência (showing that I lived at the address I said) and my passport. THAT'S IT. In my case they did not ask for anything else.

Then that first lady gave my form to a second lady and I had to wait maybe around 20/25 minutes.
She called me and she didn't ask anything else. Just put all the info in the computer and scanned the documents.

Then I waited for another 15 minutes and I was called by a third lady to paid the € 162,10 (has to be cash in this SEF) and she told me to wait 15 days and I will get it in the mail.

The whole process was 1 hour and painless and so easy.

This was my experience, I'm not trying to say that it's always easy or anything else. Just sharing MY experience.

I also have to thank the immense help that Gilda Pereira, Cristina Amaral and Rodolfo from http://eimigrante.pt/pt/
gave me every step of the way since I started this process 2 1/2 years ago. I highly recommend them!

Cheers and good luck to everyone trying to move to this lovely country
