Algarve Visit

Hi All, my husband and I are visiting Spain and Portugal in mid to late April from Los Angeles. I grew up in NYC and it’s hard for me to slow down. Where is the best place to stay in the Algarve for a few days? We are currently booked in Faro. We are in our 60’s and looking to move in 2 years. We are seriously considering Spain due to language if nothing else. Thanks for the recommendations!
