Can anyone give me some advice please? I live in the UK with my girlfriend & 2 children. I have been offered a job in Qatar - Doha to be precise. The salary is good - £90,000 plus accom expenses & vehicle allowance. There are many things which I am concerned about ie: schools & safety. Can anyone reccommend areas to live in where there are other english/american's? Am I right in saying these places are called compounds & have shops, hairdressers etc on site?? I'm due to fly out next week so could do with being able to do a bit of research before hand. also can anyone suggest how we would set the ball rolling for my children as regards schooling?? I will be starting work in Doha in the next 4 weeks and hope my family can follow shortly after.
Can anyone suggest any websites or places I can look to get info regarding life in Doha???
