I am negotiating a salary and living package for a new position in Qatar. I have been offered a monthly package of:
Basic Salary – approx 5000 USD
Housing – approx 2250 USD
Transportation – approx 750 USD
There is a much higher bonus system in place to make the salary competative. There are also club memberships, travel home, education, etc., which is pretty standard.
However, my main concern is the housing and transportation package. This seems low to me. Can anyone give me a feel for what these costs may come to for a couple living in Qatar?
