Paying Income Tax

Just moved to Brasov with my Romanian wife, and I have now got my CNP.

I work from home as a management consultant for a UK-based company, and am wondering what the best way to pay tax on my income is,

I've heard about setting-up an SRL company, but that would mean paying a lot more tax than I would if I were just an employee.

Somebody mentioned getting PFA status (self-employed) but I have no qualification in what I do, so I don't think that can apply to me.

Are there any methods whereby you can just declare your income and calculate income tax based on that?

Thanks in advance.
