Retired and trying to get to Bucharest

I am a retired American who wants to move to Romania. I have a decent pension that would support a family of 4, but the Romanian Government will not let me move without 1) a job and 2) being retired. So far...a true nightmare, but I am determined. There are a couple of kids there that pretty much call me grandpa and I love them dearly. Any suggestions, comments, advice are greatly appreciated.
